まえがき

ここに紹介する一文は、「天照の国日本」がいかにして誕生したかを記した私的な覚書であり、完成された文章ではありません。

細かな点では修正されるべき部分があるかもしれませんが、大筋は的外れなものでなく、天照大神を頂点として大和朝廷が成立していった過程を、ほぼ正確にとらえていると自負しております。

良し悪しは別として、「天照の国日本」が誕生した、その記憶が忘れられないよう、ここに覚書として残しておくものです。

Preface

The text presented here is a personal set of notes on how "Japan as the Land of Amaterasu" came into being.
It is not a finished academic work, nor does it claim to be one.

There may be details that require further revision or correction.
Even so, I believe that the overall framework is not misguided, and that it captures, with reasonable accuracy, the process by which the Yamato polity took shape with Amaterasu Ōmikami at its symbolic apex.

Regardless of its merits or shortcomings, I have chosen to preserve these notes here so that the memory of how "Japan as the Land of Amaterasu" was born may not be forgotten.
